Help with the Central Committee:

To learn more about how the Central Committee if formed, you can read our Home Page. Here are volunteer opportunities:

  • You can become a Central Committee member in your district if you are voted in. Please let a Central Committee member know that you are interested.

  • You can become an Alternate.

  • You can help Central Committee Members with organization and tasks, some of which are listed above.

Precinct Walking and Phone Banking Duties might include:

  • Attend trainings to improve skills and effectiveness.

  • Become familiar with your candidates and their positions.

  • Learn to use Campaign Sidekick to walk your Walk book or to call your Phone bank list.

  • Support candidates Of the Republican Party and educate voters in your precinct about who we are, our endorsed candidates and the issues.

  • Recruit others to help carry the torch and build our volunteer base.

  • Look for residents that may want to run for office.

  • Make friends in your neighborhood to encourage discussion and make people feel welcome.

  • Host neighborhood events.

Election Integrity Duties might include:

Ballot Harvesting (legal in California)

  • Harvesters go to high density neighborhoods to gather ballots (with approval of voters) and take them directly to the Napa County Election Office.

  • Apply through the County of Napa for a paid position during election season. Let GOP Election Integrity Chair know you are a republican working at an office.

Poll Watcher

  • Be assigned to a day or days for poll watching.

  • Attend training and report problems witnessed to GOP leaders.

  • Fill out forms detailing what you witnessed for the record.

Voter Registration

  • Volunteers to work at voter registration tables at select locations throughout Napa County, primarily churches, gun shops and gas stations, plus any other locations where voters would be likely to register as republicans. Remember, when these tables are set up all voters must be registered and turned in as they are legal voters even if it is another party.

Best to set up in areas where mostly Republicans loiter.

Other Tasks

  • Drive voters to the polls

  • Vote on Election Day. You can vote in person at Vote Centers. Take your mail-in ballot to the vote center and turn it in for a new in-person ballot.

If you’d like to be an election observer or a paid poll worker, here are some helpful links, plus there is a recruitment brochure, plus other instructions attached. October 7 is the deadline to apply for the paid Poll Worker jobs, but you may observe at any time the Vote Centers are open.
